#FeesMustFall is a student led protest movement that began in mid October 2015 in response to an increase in fees at South African universities. What is the status of the movement today? How have these protests impacted South African students and the country at large? How does #FeesMustFall connect to #BlackLivesMatter? Discuss all this and more on Tuesday March 8th in a roundtable discussion led by Dr. Jordache Ellapen, a postdoctoral fellow in the Program in African and African-American Studies! The discussion will take place in Danforth University Center room 276 at 5:00 PM. Everyone is welcome! |
